Wright’s revolutionary influence led to major reforms in modern architecture, and if it hadn’t, we would most likely be living in a totally different style of house. He was one of the first architects to open up floor plans and invite nature in, and is by far the most well recognized. Wright is considered to be the greatest architect in American history, and I agree.
As Dr. Anthony Alofsin – a leading authority on Frank Lloyd Wright and professor at University of Texas – wrote to me,
"I would say that one reason Wright had a big influence is that he had a long career, dying almost at age 92, which allowed him to continuously promote a vision for American architecture. Having a strong vision and pursuing it with passion distinguishes a passionate person from all the others. And Wright's vision was focused on what he believed was best for the American people. That idealism is central to his influence. His immense creativity also helped."
